Policies to avoid discrimination
The purpose of this proposal is to establish 3 main policies to avoid discrimination in our company. The team has already suggested 3 policies:
Flexibility
One of our main aims is to be an inclusive company. Therefore, we will have flexible schedules for our personnel, considering their special needs. For example: maternity and paternity leave for parents, religious commands, etc. The objective is to create a balance between their personal and working life.
Human Resources
The company will not make any difference between hiring women or men. The job interviews will go through a deeper process, not focusing on prejudices, but on academic level and job experience. Also, the salary amount will be equal for same level positions, not making distinctions between gender, age, religious beliefs and sexual preferences.
Titles
All members of the company will be addressed by name, and not by title, to build a working environment where everyone feels they are as important as anyone.
Conclusion
To sum up, in order to avoid discrimination, we have to make our employees feel as a crucial part of the company.

I enjoyed writing this report because it was a topic which I like to talk about: avoiding discrimination and seeking for equity. I had some knowledge about writing reports, but I must admit that I needed reinforcing the structure. However, the practice is the key.
I believe that people are key to any company. Therefore it's great to reinforce the perks they might have. Motivation is very important for a company to achieve its goals.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, working with humans and not with personnel can increase the productivity each person/department will have. Having the company's support may shorten this road. Discrimination divides and creates large antipathy gaps that directly affect the employees performance within the company.
ReplyDeleteI consider that trying to avoid discrimination is very important because everyone should feel comfortable and satisfied with their job. Having a good work atmosphere makes people more productive and happy (considering that it is where they spend most of their time).
ReplyDeleteI think that discrimination can affect us more tan we think. Some people sees discrimination like normal things but the truth is that its a real problem that we have to avoid ad to treat giving it the importance it deserves.
ReplyDeleteI believe that the Human Resources Department needs to explain in all the levels of the companies that seeking for the welfare of everyone in the company will create a better communication environment. The discrimination it's a problem that the companies try to eradicate since they want to build a productive and happy environment for all the employees.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy your policies, especially that about titles. Sometimes companies forget to treat all employees equally in order to have a good environment at work and increase productivity.
ReplyDeleteI believe that just as you stated, people are the key for a company's success. I specially agree with your titles policy because in that way you can avoid discrimination from a perspective that usually goes unnoticed.
